The Lesbian and Queer Artists Network ‘LaQan’ has been launched recently.  At present a small group, we are thinking of ways to connect artists in the Wellington area (as well as nationally) to share information, ideas, inspiration and support. Art exhibition during the OutGames, March 2011

 

In March next year in conjunction with the 2nd Asia Pacific Out Games in Wellington, we will be holding an art exhibition at Thistle Hall, Wellington. Lasting for a three week period, this exhibition aims to showcase, promote and sell art produced by Lesbians all over Aotearoa.

A truly multimedia event, we are hoping to showcase all forms of the Arts (i.e., Music, Painting, the Written Word, Sculpture, etc). To begin we want to guage the level of interest from artists.
